Video Therapy
Convenience, Convenience, Convenience!
A lot of people enjoy using video therapy because it’s so easy.
No driving, no parking… no need to wear anything fancier than your pajamas.
It can be tough to get anywhere in LA, especially during peak traffic hours! You can skip the commute and do therapy from wherever you are.
Just grab your computer, tablet, or phone, and get your emotional support fix for the week.
Even BETTER Than in Person?
There are times when video might actually be better than an in-person session…
Need a little more than a phone chat between sessions to deal with unexpected stress?
Have a newborn and packing up a baby to tote back and forth is just too much?
You need to make the most out of the limited time and energy you have.
Want to grab a session on your lunch break at work and don’t have time to drive to and from?
Have a dog and you can’t leave his or her side?
He ate chocolate, you took him to the vet and got him checked out, and now the vet wants you to keep an eye on him 24/7 for the next couple of days (This actually happened to one of my clients! Don’t worry: The dog is doing great now!)
Think you might be getting sick and need to be on your couch with some hot tea?
Have panic attacks when you drive on the freeway?
You don’t want this to keep you from getting help.
Don’t want to lose touch while you’re away on vacation?
The list could go on and on, and I’m finding more and more people taking advantage of video sessions to incorporate getting help into their day-to-day lives.
Even More Advantages of Video Therapy
It’s helpful for me to see you in your own living environment. Swinging the camera around is easier than describing how much trouble you’re having cleaning the house.
You can even introduce me to friends, family members, and pets! That’s definitely harder to do with an in-person session in my office.
Some people are just more comfortable in their homes.
I’ve found that certain individuals can be more emotionally present when they’re in places where they’re already comfortable. It’s easier for them to open up and be honest and vulnerable.
I’ll be with you… let’s give it a try!
Great news: If you live anywhere in California, I can see you!
So, if you stumble upon my information but live in San Francisco, that’s not a problem. My license allows me to provide therapy to anyone living in California.
Not sure about it? Give it a try and see how it feels.
Most people are a little concerned at first that it won’t be comfortable or helpful enough. But, they often report that they enjoy the overall experience and find it very useful.
